Do I need to complete the Teach Your Child to Swim course first?
No, but it is highly recommended.
This Float & Roll Over Course pairs perfectly with the Teach Your Child to Swim course because children who already have basic swim skills often transition into floating and rolling skills more easily. However, you can still use this course on its own to begin introducing floating concepts.
Is my child too young to start learning these skills?
Every child develops differently, but this course was designed with babies and toddlers in mind (12 months +). Children who are crawling, comfortable in the water, and able to participate with a parent are typically great candidates for learning the foundations of floating and rolling over with a parent.
Will this make my child drown-proof?
No.
No child is drown-proof, regardless of how many swim lessons they have completed.
Floating and rollover skills are just one layer of protection. Active supervision, staying within arm's reach, pool barriers, alarms, and continued practice are all essential parts of keeping children safe around water.
Preparation shouldn’t wait!
Teach your child what to do if they can't get to the wall or steps.
Because knowing more than one way to get air in the water can be lifesaving.
